HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!!

‘Squirrels’ Raza; forget where they bury half of their nuts! And so using my calculator, I figure that if they want to have 40 nuts for winter, they have to bury 80 of ‘em! And so the question becomes, ‘If two (2) squirrels get together and bury 80 nuts, how many are left unfound? Will each find and keep 40 and be done, or will they find the same 40 and each take half and end up with only 20 apiece? And did you know that Toads do not drink water but absorb it through their skin? I will now start keeping a closer eye on my water…and Cerveza..! Ants can pull 30 times their own weight and lift 50 times their own weight! That being the case, it behooves us, or somebody; to figure out a way to harness these little critters and put ‘em to work! I propose that the first task in this venture is to figure out how much an Ant weighs and go from there! Snails can sleep for up to 3 years! How the heck does one know when a snail is asleep? Do they snore?

Well, Raza, we’d planned on takin’ Ol’ Smoky on our grand ‘Cinco de Mayo’ Tour O’ the West! ; and were it not for our shade-tree mechanics busting some oil hose while testing its travel-worthiness, we would’ve been traveling in style! But we didn’t and instead, we put ‘The Blue Streak’ back into production! Actually, had not the busted-oil-hose-thing happen when it did, we would’ve probably gotten stranded somewhere on the road and mayby missed some gigs; and so it was bad thing in a good place, same thing but different, doncha see!? And so yep, right about midnight last Wednesday, after Rene and I did our gig at the EAB&G (East Avenue Bar and Grill), I hurried to make our 12:00 departure time!

First, Raza; just to show you what I’m up against in trying to live life, eat, drink and be merry and still have time left over to write; I’m gonna let y’all know where we’ll be in the next couple of weeks in case y’all don’t frequent our ‘Rubenramos.com’ website, where all things to do with the Mexican Revolution are posted with infrequent regularity! So here it is with the first 3 gigs having already happened when you read this…it’s like giving our horn section the first 3 notes of a song about to be played so they at least know the intro:

Apologies to Jose and others of you that have nothing better to do than read my ‘errant’ (Good word, look it up!) description of immaterial things, but due to the unforeseen event of the ‘Mega-Millions Lottery thing that all week, this colossal task had me trying to figure out the winning combination of numbers for the drawing! In the same effort, the Revolution Gorillas could be seen in and around the bunks in our bus, ‘Old Smoky’, scrounging and digging for quarters, dimes, nickels, pennies, returnable drink-bottles and any and all pawn-able items that weren’t nailed down! You have to understand, Raza, that if I’d won this large bunch of money, I could get that right-front headlight on my Caddy fixed or even replaced! But Alas, much like my efforts on the Triumph’s Casino, where I was winning but ran out of money; it was all for naught! But, there’s always next time! But again, suppose that I picked the winning numbers next time…?! Will the Gorillas get greedy and say that it was a ‘group effort’ and try to get a share of the money? No they won’t because I’ve already promised them a meal a McDees if I win! Not only that, but promised they can ‘Super-size’ it! That’ll Larn ‘em!
